Red Priest - "Wild Men of the Baroque" - Sunday 25th October 3.30pm (Henry Sandon Hall)
£25.00
Join Piers Adams (recorders) and David Wright (keyboard) for an afternoon of virtuosic baroque music.
Virtuoso musicians Piers Adams and David Wright – who together make up half of the legendary Red Priest quartet – take us on a journey through the wild side of the baroque era with some extraordinary music by little known 17th century composers in the ‘Phantasticus’ style, alongside an array of high-baroque masterworks.
The programme will include music by Corelli, Handel, Telemann, Castello, Bull, Uccellini, Marini, Van Eyck, Pandolfi, Royer and Biber.
“Superhuman virtuosity, a laughing recklessness and style you can’t buy…”
— GRAMOPHONE
There will also be a recorder masterclass before the concert from 12-1pm.
The concert will be held at the Henry Sandon Hall, located in Worcester’s Royal Porcelain Works, Severn St, WR1 2NE on Sunday 25th October at 3.30pm.
